Towards a Sustainable Dungganon Community

Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1984 as a non-government organization that aims to help women achieve self-sufficiency and self-reliance, particularly in low-income and depressed urban and rural communities. Throughout the years, NWTF has grown to help communities become more vibrant and sustainable, through microfinance and other programs designed to improve the lives of our clients and their families. A big part of our of mission to help communities is to ensure the environment that they are in is protected, conserved, and restored.

As we celebrate the 40th year of our founding, we have embarked on an ambitious goal of “One Million Trees and Counting: Towards a Sustainable Dungganon Community”. We aim to plant at least one million native and endemic trees in the communities that we serve. These will be a combination of hardwood, fruit trees, bamboo, and mangroves. These trees will provide countless benefits, among them carbon sequestration, protection of our soil and coastlines, and economic opportunities for locals.

To achieve this goal, we need partners to help us. We are humbly asking for your support as we all work together toward our shared dream of making our world, and especially the communities around us, a better place to live in.
